Salisbury, MD Getting Verizon 4G LTE April 19th

17

While we love it when Verizon announces a ton of new 4G LTE markets at once, we still appreciate hearing about lone releases – even if it’s for the little guys. With a population of about 30,000 people, Salisbury, MD probably isn’t a milestone market for Verizon but we know they’re keen on showing Maryland a lot of love. Those who live in the area should be able to enjoy the new speeds beginning April 19th (and even a bit sooner, if they’re lucky). On a completely unrelated note, I’m suddenly in the mood for Salisbury steak. Read on for the short press release.

  2. I live in Ocean City Maryland and we just got 4G few weeks ago.  This is great news.

  3. I wonder if my folks up in Easton will be getting LTE anytime soon.  Probably not :P

  4. I’m all for expanding in MD but why not go north up the 95 corridor? Or better yet just add an extra tower or 2 to Baltimore which has been flaky for the last week or so. Enjoy the 4g Salisbury.

  5. Lets hope for some harford/cecil love soon.

    1. The entire 95 corridor is covered, you can get 4g signal as far north as bel air south

  6.  When I think of Salisbury, I think of chicken.

    1. I think of steak.

      1. The Eastern Shore of MD (and VA) is basically one big Tyson chicken farm.  The corn grown all goes to feed the chickens… drive down 50/13 on a hot summer day with the windows down and your nose will eventually find the chicken farms.

I miss home but I don’t miss the odeur de poulon.

        1. Yes, except it’s Perdue Farms, unless Tyson bought them after I left the area,

  7. yay, I’ll finally get the service I paid for.

  8.  Hmm..I’ve been getting 4G in north Salisbury for about 3-4 weeks.

  9. I have had 4G in Berlin/OC since around St. Patty’s Day. I was wondering if it was just testing or if there would be anything officially announced. I guess now I have my answer.

  10. No love for my hometown of Pocomoke (Go Warriors) I see.

  11. I have had 4G for 3 weeks in Salisbury
