FTW Is An Upcoming Gaming Service That Syncs Your Game Progress Cross Platform

11

As a long time gamer, I’ve owned just about every system under the sun, played video games across every OS, every platform — I’ve never been one to discriminate. One of the pitfalls from cross platform gaming is playing on your Android phone then moving to something like your iPad and not being able to pick up where you left off. Frustrating, indeed but not much we can do about it.

Well, there is a new gaming service called FTW who is looking to change all that. By developers integrating FTW into their apps, FTW will sync all your game progress, across all platforms, tracking your achievements and making your gaming life all the round easier. Their motto is it’s your identity, take it with you. Truer words have never been spoken.

Although FTW isn’t ready for prime time just yet, they did post on their blog recently that the necessary API’s can’t be found in any games at the moment, they’re hoping to launch in the coming months first for iOS and Android, with Mac and Windows to follow shortly after. If FTW sounds like a great idea to you, the developers are urging gamers to send emails to your favorite game devs, asking them to inject FTW into their apps. You can find all the info via their site below.

    1. If google were to buy it Apple would not allow it to be included in IOS games…

      1. Because Apple would block it or because you think Google would block iOS devices? I don’t think Google would block interoperability of platforms but Apple would.

      2. They are cooperates; this is a win-win situation and I don’t see why they won’t take it.

  4. Fantastic idea. I have been waiting for something like this for ages.
First and foremost for syncing saves between all my Android devices, but including other platforms will make it truly awesome.

  5. How about a cross device backup Chavez, aka multiple Android devices. Seems more appropriate for your site than cross platform. FTW and Apple!

  6. I actually came up with this idea a long time ago, but didn’t have any knowledge to make the app. Good that someone else is going to do it, I’ve waited for something like this for a looonggg time now!
