We know many of you have grown to be in love with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Many users are not lucky enough to own a Samsung Galaxy Nexus just yet, though. One of the best features in Google’s newest OS version happens to be time lapse video recording. And if you have been dying to make your time lapse videos, the new app, Lapse It, will be able to give you your fix.
The application is simple to use, and offers some great functionality for all the time lapse shooters out there. Not only can the user take time lapse shots, but the app includes some basic editing capabilities. One can trim the video and add music, as well as some cool effects.
There are both a free and pro version. The former lacking certain capabilities; like HD shooting (up to 720p), the ability to use the front-facing camera and access to soundtracks. So if you aren’t happy with 240p resolution, the best option is to purchase the Pro version, which goes for $1.99 on the Android Market.
Check out the Android Market for more details, or hit up the source link to go directly to the official website. Lapse away!

This is a neat little app. I downloaded it the other day to try it out after having to return my Samsung S2 which had a time lapse feature straight off the bat :D, where as my Xperia Play doesnt. I only downloaded the free version to see what it’s like but, if I didn’t have the S2 I would deffo download the pro version.
As of 6 weeks ago I could not find a tripod or adapter that would fit a 4.3″ android…. thus the cool time lapse feature is almost worthless.
If anybody has a product/ idea to meet this need and make time lapse doable let me know.
There are many pda adapters that will accomodate most if not all phones. They have spring loaded clasps and mount to a normal tripod…..I use mine for virtual tours and panorama shots
Forgot to mention, you can find them on ebay and amazon, search pda or phone camera mount
jay, i’m going to rig up a deal using a cardock on my droid x2. i’m looking forward to hanging my phone off my motorcycle fairing and compressing about 50miles of road into about 5 minutes.
There are any number of solutions…see these items on amazon and ebay..

Just for future reference.
