By All of the pieces are starting to fall nicely into their places. We’ve been hearing rumors that the Galaxy Nexus will be headed to Verizon on December 8th or 9th and it looks like those rumors could turn out to be true.
First up, our own anonymous source who has been reliable and has provided us with information, images and videos of the device in the past has heard from his rep (not a customer service rep) that the Galaxy Nexus is set for 12/9.
Need more than just words? How about someone who has received the device in its final retail packaging? Someone on XDA posted the images for all to see. Sure enough, it’s Verizon’s and it all looked very official.
What’s more is that they stated shipments will be headed to Verizon stores this week making it all the more believable that we will see this device before the weekend. Fingers crossed! [XDA, AndroidForums.com, thanks anon!]

THAT’S the final retail packaging. I mean, I just find it a little hard to believe Verizon would release it like that. You’d think they’d at least put the Nexus logo on it!

that would be odd….RED packaging? Verizon really is trying to brand this. I would have at least hoped for a striking RGBY type package with some flair.

Mine’s up in Jan., but I want it released now…This way, they’ll start getting the next round of shipments in, and I won’t be hopping from store to store trying to find one in stock.
Plus, the sooner it gets out, the sooner any other bugs that crop up will be squashed.
Plusagain, while I’m 99% sure I want this phone, it’ll’ve been put through more of a review-wringer before I see what I’ll be missing if I wait for the CES phones to be released.

Android noob here… the nexus (hspa model) will be my first android device… If I use application specific passwords on my google account, will I use my regular password to login to the phone? or do i make an application specific password ? :S
