15

A new promo video for the Nvidia Tegra 3 processor was just leaked online. The video shows off some of the features Nvidia’s quad-core “Kal-El” processor will be capable of producing. Things like high-speed web with embedded Flash content giving users a web browsing experience as quick as their desktop. Tegra 3 processor also boasts console quality gaming, giving users access to visual experiences normally reserved for PS3’s and Xbox’s. Also shown off was how easy the Tegra 3 will be able to handle full 1080p HD video — we just have to wait for tablet screen resolutions to catch up. You can check the features of the Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor (and the sexy, very fictional tablet it’s running on) in the video below.

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

    Then I see shadowgun… what?

    1. Ok so Tegra 2 couldn’t even properly beat the hummingbird cpu inthe original Galaxy S which came out 1.5 yrs ago.

Will Tegra 3 be able to beat the Mali inside Galaxy S II’s Exynos chip or even the upgraded one in the Galaxy Nexus?

Tegra and nVidia is all just small talk.

      1. I hope so or it will fall behind the SGX543MP2 in the ipad 2/iphone4s (the gpu i HOPED the nexus prime would get), nvidia has a history of catching and beating it’s rivals in benchmarks. my current gaming PC is rocking a GTX580 as a testament to that.

      2. I hope so because it looks like apple has time exclusivity with imagination technologies, next year they will have the sgx-600 and currently there isn’t a mobile gpu comparable to the current generation of powervr chipsets on Android.

  3. I want one…

  4. its funny how it got leaked just hours before the announcement of the nexus prime…coincidence? I think not…

  5. this will definitely be my next tablet…

  6. I want that tablet, i know it doesn’t exist but it looks badass

    1. This could exist with today’s technology. You just have to implement the backside camera and augmented reality with a low opacity. I want this tablet now. It’s time to blow ipad out of the water. Would be nice if the transformer 2 looked like this.

      1. This technology already exist; its called transparent transistors.

  7. Was that a Safeway plug at the dinner table? I saw a refresh (Safeway’s latest name for their sodas) decaf cola…

    1. My Asus Transformer on the AnTuTu Benchmark scored right below the Galaxy S II at 5253 and above the LG Optimus 2x.

      Looking at this video of the Galaxy S running AnTuTu, it scored 3007;
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3as5PTdSs7U

      My ram is 823
      My CPU is 1176
      My FPU is 1020

The video GS’s ram is 366
The video GS’s CPU is 634
The video GS’s FPU is 150

Anyways, the Tegra 2 isn’t up to the GSII as we know, but it’s certainly bests a single core 1.5 year old Hummingbird. Maybe early benchmarks weren’t Tegra 2 happy? I know Honeycomb didn’t run smoothly on my Tegra 2 until after I got a minor update from 3.1 to 3.1x. Now it’s as smooth as my DOUCHE Pad and PlayBook.
