Google has announced the dates for their annual Google I/O developers’ conference. We’re looking at an April 24th 2012 start date with all of it culminating on the conclusion of the following day. Google I/O brings all the developers out for not only sessions and workshops, but also for showcasing great apps and new features made possible by Android. This is a web thing, as well, with Chrome OS, Chrome Browser and general HTML5 stuff being huge focuses.
Last year, we got our first look at the now-available Chromebooks as well as a confirmation that Ice Cream Sandwich was real and that it would unify phone and tablet OS into one.
Aside from all the great news that spewed from the Moscone West convention center, attendees (including yours truly) received 4G LTE hotspots from Samsung and Verizon, Chromebooks from Samsung and a special edition of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (see our review here).
We’re sure to be there so swing back to us in about 7 months. PS: You’ll want to be checking every single day for the announcement of open registration as tickets sold out in just under an hour last year. [Google]
