One of the features of Samsung phones is Live Translate. It basically allows users to translate in real time phone conversations. This makes it ideal for business calls where you might be speaking to someone in a different country in a different language. Now it looks like the feature is about to expand.
As it stands, Samsung’s Live Translate only works with Samsung apps. This means that if you typically rely on other third-party apps to make voice calls, you’re out of luck. But like we said, that is expected to change soon. According to Samsung, they plan to eventually expand support for the feature to third-party apps.
This means that if you decide to use an app like WhatsApp to make a voice call, you can take advantage of the Live Translate feature as well. WhatsApp has been confirmed to be one of the apps that will support it. We’re not sure which other apps will support it, so it will be on a case-by-case basis.
Samsung also states that they will expand Live Translate to cover more languages later this year. It will expand to 16 languages by the end of the month, and eventually cover as many as 20 languages by the end of the year.
