Not too long after disputed design renders of the upcoming Nothing Phone 2a were leaked online, it looks like the folks over at Smartprix in collaboration with design leaker @OnLeaks have now released a newer set of images, which show a more accurate visual representation of the handset.
READ: The Nothing Phone (2a) will be powered by a custom MediaTek chipset
Based on the design, the new renders show a horizontal camera layout, fixed in the center of the rear panel. This is a stark contrast to the earlier renders which featured a vertical camera layout on the upper left corner on the back of the phone, similar to earlier Nothing phone models.
While the phone hasn’t been fully revealed yet, Nothing has gone ahead and revealed the chipset that’s inside the device – the company says that the phone is powered by a custom chip from MediaTek known as the Dimensity 7200. According to Nothing, this custom design will offer better software and hardware integration for the handset.
Going back to the 2a’s design, it looks like the phone will retain the Glyph interface, one of the signature features offered by Nothing’s Android flagship phones. Nothing is expected to officially launch the Phone 2a on March 5 this year.
