In what could be described as one of the biggest entertainment deals of 2024 so far, Netflix recently announced that it has entered into a long-term partnership with WWE, which will bring the latter’s Raw programming to Netflix’s wide selection of shows.
The deal will take effect starting in January 2025, wherein Netflix will become the new (and exclusive) home of WWE Raw, moving away from a more “standard” broadcast operation on television. With that being said, WWE Raw will be available on Netflix in several regions including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Latin America, to name a few.
Netflix adds that more territories will be included over time. Nick Khan, WWE President states:
“In its relatively short history, Netflix has engineered a phenomenal track record for storytelling… We believe Netflix, as one of the world’s leading entertainment brands, is the ideal long-term home for Raw’s live, loyal, and ever-growing fan base.”
Furthermore, the agreement will also bring over other WWE programming to Netflix outside the US, including other weekly shows such as SmackDown, NXT, major events including WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Royal Rumble, as well as specials and documentaries beginning in 2025. Currently, WWE is part of TKO Group Holdings, Inc.
