We’re almost there! Android 14 update for Samsung Galaxy S23 could be close to release

0

The Android 14 update was released by Google earlier this month where it was initially made available to the company’s Pixel phones. If you don’t own a Pixel phone but instead own the Samsung Galaxy S23, the wait could be almost over as it could be your turn soon.

This is based on the latest update to the One UI 6 beta that was released for beta testers recently. In the latest beta, whose build version ends in ZWJ1, there is no mention of any bug fixes. This has led to speculation that the latest update is more about cleaning up the software and adding further refinements, bringing it one step closer to being released to the public.

There is no guarantee that this is the case, but seeing as how One UI 5 (Android 13) was released for the Galaxy S22 series roughly around the same time last year, it would stand to reason that Samsung could be aiming for a similar release schedule for One UI 6 (Android 14).

Another thing to note is that this update is for the Samsung Galaxy S23. Samsung is working on bringing the update to its other eligible handsets like their Galaxy Z Fold and Flip series and the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 devices, but those could be released at different times.

Either way, we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more information about a potential release date, especially as we approach the end of October.
