According to the tweet, Sony will be hosting an event on the 24th of July at 9AM PT/12PM ET, and the caption accompanying the image does seem to hint that the event will most likely see the launch of the WF-1000XM5 earbuds.
While Sony has yet to divulge the specs and features, the rumors are claiming that the earbuds will feature Sony’s 8.4mm Dynamic Driver X drivers and will feature custom processors, dual feedback microphones, and will support Hi-Res Audio and DSEE Extreme standards.
The earbuds are also rumored to come with a carrying case that doubles as a charger and holds a 500mAh battery, giving the earbuds about 24 hours of total battery life. Of course this will vary depending on how you use it, but 24 hours is roughly what you can expect from it. No word on pricing but we expect that more details will be revealed at the event next week.
