Phones like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series have a small display on the outside, which for the most part is functional if you just want to look at information at a glance. But when Oppo launched its own flip phone, the Find N2 Flip, they shook things up a bit with the design by making the external display massive, bright, and vibrant.
This allowed users to interact with the phone’s outer display in a way that you couldn’t with the Galaxy Z Flip series. If you’re looking to take things further, then you might want to check out this app on the Play Store called CoverScreen OS. This is an app that adds more functionality to the external display of the phone.
Now, the app itself plays nicely with various flip phones, but with the Find N2 Flip’s larger external display, that’s where the app really shines. For example, you could easily simulate a T9 keyboard that you might find on feature phones back in the day, or transform it into a QWERTY keyboard, or make it into a secondary app drawer. You can even launch a browser and browse using the external display of the phone, thus saving you from having to flip your phone open.
That being said, before you get too excited, know that the app right now is in preview, which means that it is far from complete and that there are still bugs that needs to be ironed out, but it could still be worth taking a look at if you want to expand on your Find N2 Flip’s functionality.
