Doogee might not necessarily be a smartphone brand that you think of when you are looking for a new phone, but for those who need a phone whose battery won’t die after a day (or two), then Doogee is no stranger to packing massive batteries inside of its handsets, like the Doogee S86 in 2021 which came with an 8,500mAh battery.
It seems that Doogee has outdone themselves this time because the company has since announced two new handsets, the S89 Pro which comes with a crazy 12,000mAh battery, and the S61, a rugged Android smartphone with an affordable price tag.
Doogee S89 Pro
Starting with the S89 Pro, like we said, one of the standout features of the phone is its 12,000mAh battery. The company does not mention how long this battery could last, but seeing as how the S86’s 8,500mAh battery was good for four days, we imagine the use of a 12,000mAh battery could allow the S89 Pro to last much longer, maybe by an extra day or so.
The handset will come with a MediaTek P90 chipset under the hood and will be accompanied by 8GB of RAM, along with 256GB of internal storage. The phone has also been built to be quite durable and features IP68 and IP69K certifications, along with MIL-STD-810H which ensures that it is drop-resistant.
The S89 Pro will also sport a triple camera setup on the consisting of a 64MP Sony main shooter, a 20MP night vision camera, and an 8MP wide-angle camera, along with a 6.3-inch LCD FHD+ display with NFC, global frequency support, and will run Android 12 out of the box.
It will be available from the 25-29th of July where it will have a special price of $269, after which it will be priced at $319. It will be available for purchase from either AliExpress or Doogeemall.
Doogee S61
Now to be fair, the S89 Pro isn’t exactly very expensive, but in case you need a rugged handset that costs even less, then the Doogee S61 series might be of interest to you.
The handset will be powered by MediaTek’s Helio G35 chipset and comes with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of storage.
It features a 6-inch display and will sport a 48MP main camera, a 20MP night vision camera, and a 16MP front-facing shooter. There is support for dual SIM and global band coverage, and similar to the S89 Pro, there is IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD-810H certification for water, dust, and drop resistance.
The battery of the phone is no slouch either at 6,180mAh, so while it isn’t as big as the S89 Pro’s 12,000mAh battery, it should be more than sufficient to get you through the day and then some.
The Doogee S61 series is priced at $109 and will also be available either via AliExpress or Doogeemall and will enjoy a promotional price from the 25-29th of July.
