If the recent controversy surrounding the T-Mobile G2’s hackability (mainly due to T-Mobile’s questionable handling of the root-related situation) hasn’t already turned you away, then jump on this deal being offered by Amazon. If you’re a new customer with T-Mobile signing a two-year contract, you can grab the G2 for $99 including two-day shipping.
We normally see eligibility open up for those adding a line to their T-Mobile plans through Amazon, but that doesn’t seem to be the case this time around. Ah well, this is the best deal you’re going to get on the phone if you’ve been shopping around for a new carrier. Head on over there now to begin.
What about the Htc Glacier? What about the dual release of the project Emerald? The new mytouch is not the glacier. Though, it may look decent in Black. Keller in the house, trollin like there’s no tomorrow

This phone is great, and it’s unbeatable at $99.
keller die in a fire for fucks sake LOL
keller whoever obsesses that much over a phone really needs to get a life…what good is a phone if u clearly dont have any friends to call
Calm down people! It’s only a phone!!!!
The Droid 2 is on $0.01 w/ new contract. Better deal i think.
I sent mine back. Going from a Nexus One to a G2 wasn’t the thrill it was for those upgrading to a G2 from a G1 or MyTouch piece of crap.
I’ll wait for something with REAL froyo and without a load of crapware, locked down memory that I was led to believe I could use, and a solid slider.
Wirefly has this phone at the same price.
I was loving this phone until it died on me 5 days in. It was working great and then the screen just went all grey. Underneath, the phone is working… but no desktop or nothing.
really wish they would offer deals with out contracts. I hate contracts.
Semianonymous don’t think that will ever happen. This is guarantee’d revenue for the company for the next 2 years or however many you buy into. I mean if you look at it from a business stand point then it doesn’t make sense to offer it to customers without a contract. plus with the smartphone ETF they make a killing.
Semianonymous- They do offer them without contracts. T-Mobile has their ‘plus’ plans that are all contract-less. You still have to buy the phone though, and you don’t get a subsidy if you’re not on a contract. Though they give you roughly a $20 discount per month for not being in a contract.
I’m aware they offer without contracts, I have a nexus one on an even more plus, paying 60 a month. I’m just complaining about these awesome sales requiring a contract. I’d be willing to fork over the cash for a G2 if it had a nice hundred or two dropped off the price tag. I know it wont ever happen though, just complaining out of annoyance.
Semianonymous— I am on the even more plus and right now the tmobile website is offering as an online deal only a 200 hundred dollar discount for users like us! just keep that in mind, i got the G2 for 300….it was alot better than 499 plus tax and 18 dollar upgrade fee!!
