Japanese gaming giant Square Enix has been busy launching games left and right, although a lot of these are mobile-exclusive titles. As such, one of the company’s newest games is finally able for pre-download after spending several weeks in pre-registration limbo.
Not to be confused with the other Mana series games on the Play Store, Echoes of Mana is a free-to-play role-playing game, with a 2D visual style, simplified combat controls, and online co-op play. The game will let you play as different characters from the different Mana series titles, and will feature a new original story. According to Square Enix, the game is recommended for fans of the Mana franchise, as well as gamers looking for some RPG action on their mobile devices.
Since the game is free-to-play, in-app purchases will be present, as has been the trend with mobile games for several years now. In particular, a lot of Square Enix’s published titles on the Play Store are free-to-play, although they have ported several of their console RPGs for Android.
Players will be able to download the game early, although it might take an additional day for the game’s servers to be fully up and running.
