Just yesterday, Oppo confirmed that the company’s first foldable phone would be announced at next week’s INNO Day event. The Oppo Find N is set to be the world’s latest foldable phone, offering a more compact design than what’s available with the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
However, shortly after the teaser was shared and a subsequent blog post was published, Evan Blass shared some hi-res images of the Find N. The images confirm that Oppo is taking a different approach compared to Samsung, as the cover screen looks more like a regular phone than a really tall slab of glass.
There will be a triple camera setup on the back with 50MP branding, likely for the primary sensor. The Find N will come in three different colors, and the aforementioned cover screen will offer a hole-punch selfie camera.
Instead of placing the power button and volume rocker on the same edge of the frame, these renders confirm that they will be separated. The volume rocker will be on the left screen (when unfolded) with the power button remaining on the right screen. It also appears that Oppo will use a dual-purpose power button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner.
Unfortunately, Blass stopped short of providing any insight into the potential specs. According to previous rumors, the Find N will provide the following:
- 8-inch LTPO OLED Inner Display (120Hz)
- Cover Display with 60Hz refresh rate
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC
- 12GB of RAM
- 512GB of storage
- 32MP Front Camera
- 50MP + 16MP + 13MP Rear Cameras
- 4,500mAh Battery w/ 65W Fast charging
- ColorOS 12 based on Android 12
Oppo’s INNO Day event takes place on December 15th. And if the Find N makes its official debut, it’s going to be an exciting time in the foldable smartphone space. The biggest question left has an obvious answer. It’s unlikely that the phone will be available in regions other than China, which is a real bummer.
