Google Fi has come a long way from its “Project Fi” days, and one of the key features for Android users has been the built-in virtual private network (VPN). But the MVNO announced that the VPN feature is now rolling out to subscribers who are using an iPhone.

The feature was initially announced back in February, but it’s now rolling out to iPhone owners. With the built-in VPN, Google Fi will protect your browsing, streaming, and downloads with an “encrypted, private connection”. This is not all that different from using one of the best VPN services, except for the fact that it’s integrated into your cellular service.
In addition to keeping your browsing history and usage private, Google Fi is also bringing Spam Blocking to the iPhone. This will flag suspected spam calls and will block them from making their way through to your phone. iOS already has a similar feature built-in, but it’s somewhat finicky, so it will be interesting to see how Google Fi’s method works.
According to 9to5Google, you’ll need to make sure that you are updated to version 3.5 of the Google Fi app from the iOS App Store. Then, you’ll be able to enable it from the new “Privacy” section under “Protect your online activity”. Currently, the Google Fi VPN is available in more than 20 countries, including the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, and others.
