Google schedules Pixel 3 launch for October 9th

0

Google has started sending out invitations to an event in New York City which is scheduled for October 9th. While the invitation doesn’t specifically mention the Pixel 3, the “I <3 NY” included in the invite does have a subtle “3” hint in it. The launch of last year’s Pixel 2 took place on October 19th, so the October 9th date isn’t too far off.

The upcoming Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL have shown up in quite a few leaks already, revealing what the phones look like, their unique software features and internal specifications. Neither of the phones are expected to overpower devices like the OnePlus 6 or the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, but Google’s Pixel line has never been about packing in every possible hardware feature under the sun.

We expect the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL to highlight Google’s pure vision of Android while also delivering the best single-sensor camera experience on a smartphone. Of course, many will have a hard time overlooking the Pixel 3 XL’s massive notch, but we don’t think that will really hurt the success of Google’s Pixel 3 lineup.

Are you eagerly awaiting the launch of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL or have you already settled for a different 2018 flagship Android smartphone?
