The Razer Phone is getting HDR and surround sound for Netflix

Razer and Netflix announced a partnership to bring some fancy features to the Razer Phone. The Razer Phone will be the first smartphone to offer Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 surround sound and HDR10 video. You won’t be able to find Netflix in a higher quality on any other phone.

The display on the Razer Phone is already a thing of wonder. 5.7-inches with 2560×1440 resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. On top of that, the phone has dual front-facing speakers that have been certified by THX. If you watch Netflix a lot on the go, it’s pretty hard to beat the Razer Phone experience.

The update will be available later this month. It will arrive as an over-the-air patch for current owners and new Razer Phones will ship with it pre-installed. Now go finish that last episode of Stranger Things.
