EuroDroid’s reporting that online UK retailer Expansys is bringing out a silver version of the HTC Desire – Europe’s designated Nexus-like alternative – for British customers sometime soon. The phone can be had unlocked for £449.99 pounds, but you might need to act quickly: it won’t be around for long.
It’s the same Desire we’ve all come to know and love if internals are of any concern to you. If you have the cash and you’ve always wanted a Desire in this color, then put your order in at Expansys now and expect your device to be shipped in two days.

Nice phone. But HTC, remember. I will NEVER EVER buy phone with Sense UI, if it cannot be uninstalled. I do not want this shitty piece of software for stupid teeneagers.
Only clean, nice and fast, genuine Google experience matters.
@peter: why are you bashing on HTC? Whether sense can be uninstalled or not, sense is a much better and cleaner UI than vanilla android IMHO. Why do u have to say it’s for teenagers? I happen to know many older people who prefer the ease of use of the sense ui. You just made yourself look ignorant by saying that sense ui isn’t clean and fast like vanilla, which it is, and by more than one account, BETTER than stock android from every major phone review site. Get your facts straight. Peace.
@rob +1
Bugger me, I don’t fancy paying an extra £50 for silver, I prefer mine in black.
On the Sense UI issue, I was happy to have sense when it first came out as it meant having multi touch before some vanialla phones had it as far as I’m aware (perhaps only europe?). I still like Sense but if it meant I got rom upgrades quickly without having to root then I’d live wihtout it.
Rob #4 is not the same person as rob #2 btw :)
WHEN the FUCK is it coming to AT&T. someone please tell me I’m dying for a new powerful ANDROID phone. I don’t want the iPhone 4. I’m getting sick and tired of AT&T not releasing any phones except cheap ones and they only care bout APPLE and don’t care what we AT&T consumers think on what phones we should get. And Screw the Intruder/Aria.
Not everybody needs to get the latest and greatest version of Android OS, Rob#4. Some people just like the usability that Sense UI brings.
Just submitted my review in of Opera Mini 5 beta for the competition.
