Sales of Galaxy Note 7 won’t resume until November in Europe

Samsung has already begun selling the Galaxy Note 7 in the US again after its recall earlier this month, but Galaxy Note 7 owners in Europe could be waiting a lot longer for a replacement device. David Lowes, Samsung’s chief marketing officer in Europe, says devices might not be available until November.

“We fully expect (new Note7s) to be available everywhere by the end of November … well before the end of the fourth quarter.

Around the rest of the world, Samsung will resume selling the device in its home country South Korea on September 28th, while Australia and Singapore will see sales resume in October. The Galaxy Note 7 was recalled in 10 markets and the three most affected European markets are Britain, Germany, and France.

Lowes said that despite the issues experienced in the recall, Samsung doesn’t plan to back away from supporting the phone once the recall is complete.

We will give Note7 all the support we were going to give it in the first place. There is no backing away from it. We created demand which we want to go back to fulfilling as fast as possible.
