Verizon and T-Mobile have both announced availability details for the Samsung Gear S2. For Verizon, we have a price: $349.99 for the connected version, though you can chop $50 off if you opt to sign a two-year contract.
We’d refrain from doing that — $50 in savings is hardly worth two years if your wireless freedom. You’ll also have to put up with a $5 monthly access fee, so there’s that. November 6th is its landing date on Big Red, so circle that date on your calendar if you’ve been anticipating it. You can pre-order it ahead of time if you feel so inclined.
On the flip side, T-Mobile has also announced plans for carrying the device. They’ll have it November 15th for $359.99 outright, though you can make the price a bit easier to swallow by financing it on a $0 down, 24-month $15 per month plan. Like Verizon, they’ll also have an access fee of $5 per month. This gets you unlimited talk, text and data (500MB of which will be HSPA+ high-speed).
And there you have it. The only question you have to answer now is whether you are OK without Android Wear, and whether you actually need a 3G-equipped smart watch. Let us know your plans in the comments below.
