Taking photos of yourself has become so popular that even the Oxford dictionary recognizes the word “selfie” as an official word. The selfie craze has helped create hundreds of photo apps, but only a few become popular. One such app is called “Frontback,” which has gained popularity in the last few months on iOS. Today the app was finally released for Android users. What’s all the buzz about?
Frontback is selfies, emoticons, and regular photos all in one. The app allows users to easily take a photo with both the front and rear cameras, then stitch them together. The result is a photo that shows what you’re looking at, and your reaction to it. You can easily tell a short story about what you are currently doing and feeling without saying a word. Instead of just sharing a photo of something crazy with the caption “OMG” you can share the photo and include your “OMG” face.
Frontback allows you to add friends and view their photos in a news feed along with curated “Staff Picks.” The photos can also be shared to your favorite social networks. If you’re looking for a fun way to share selfies this is the app for you. Download it below for free from the Google Play Store.

The Selfie camera on the M8 can stitch photos like that? I wanted to make some memes and the photos had to be stitched in a certain manner. The memes weren’t important enough for me to crop, edit, and stitch the photos together. LoL!!
Isn’t available on my Note 3. Only shows my Nexus devices as being available.
I am also annoyed by the lack of Note3 support. I wonder if it is a No Go on the S5 as well. Very dumb idea at release. The Note3 is one of the most popular phones out. Wtf made you release your app without support for it? Jeez
Even though some of these more popular iOS apps coming to Android aren’t direct ports it still sometimes feels like we’re getting crumbs. So much time between the iOS release and an Android version. :(
Yeah we get treated like second class citizens
This can be done on the Note 3 and I’m assuming the S5. I’ve only used it once, but it could be cool for some people.
How?
Dual camera mode at the right hand side of the screen in camera mode. Allows you to use both camera’s at the same time. You can even move the small image of the ffc around the screen to your desired location.
I think I’d still prefer a photo editing app to do this instead of loading a very niche app and having to start a whole new social network as well. Photo Grid it remains
App kinda sucks…
