LG G Flex leaked for Sprint; should have tri-band “Sprint Spark” radios

7

The LG G Flex isn’t LG’s flagship smartphone, but it’ll still one of the more exciting devices the company has launched this year. Thanks to a leak by @evleaks, we now know it’ll beheaded to Sprint’s store shelves at some point in the near future. It should be identical to the G Flex available internationally, save for the new tri-band radios that will be used to take advantage of Sprint Spark.

It’s the first smartphone that’s virtually indestructible, with its curved display and chassis being able to bend straight and spring back into shape without fail. It also features a self-healing back, one that has trumped many intense scratch tests.

Durability aside, this thing is also pretty strong beneath the hood. Here’s the spec line for those of you who like to know which gears are turning that makes this thing tick:

  • 2.26 GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM 8974)
  • GPU: Adreno 330, 450MHz
  • 6-inch screen
  • HD resolution (1280 x 720), Curved P-OLED (Real RGB)
  • 2GB RAM
  • 32GB Storage
  • 13.0MP rear camera
  • 2.1MP front camera
  • 3,500mAh battery
  • Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • USB 3.0
  • WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac
  • NFC

Earlier rumors also tell us to expect it to launch for Verizon and AT&T at some point, though nothing is definite just yet. We’ll definitely be keeping our ear to these cold winter streets to see if we can’t find out when, exactly, to expect its arrival on the Now Network.

  2. Interesting device LG, but I just don’t love you anymore…Motorola has won my heart.

  3. damn Sprint getting all the heavy weights…

  4. Damn, I wanted to see this in my nearby T-Mobile location.

  5. If only 1080p, I’d be all over this thing.
