Projectors are a great alternative to displays like TVs and monitors. They don’t take up quite as much space and can be used in all kinds of places. But if you’re looking for a projector that’s truly portable, at CES 2025, Aurzen has unveiled its ZIP projector. This is a pretty cool device because it can actually fold up.
Now, the concept of portable projectors, also known as pico projectors, aren’t new. However, we think that Aurzen has really created something truly unique with the ZIP. This is a tri-fold projector that can be easily folded up and put into a bag or pocket. The fact that it is a tri-fold device means that it can actually stand on its own. There is no need to prop it up with books.
It also features stereo speakers and it can project HD content wirelessly. The company claims that it offers zero-lag clarity and it measures just 1-inch thick when folded up. That’s honestly pretty awesome. The Aurzen ZIP also comes with a built-in battery that’s good for about 1.5 hours.
That’s actually not that long since most movies these days run for 2 hours. However, it does support 24W USB-C PD Fast Charging so you should be able to juice it up in no time. The company hasn’t announced pricing or availability yet. The website does note that there are plans to bring it to Kickstarter so hopefully we’ll have more details soon.
