If you own a Samsung smartphone and have been considering subscribing to a video streaming service, then we have some good news for you. It seems that Samsung is offering its smartphone customers a free 3-month subscription to Peacock. Users can redeem this free 3-month trial via the Galaxy Store.
This is actually quite a good deal, especially if you’ve been thinking of subscribing but you’re not sure if it might be worth it. Granted, Peacock will have different shows compared to other streaming platforms like Netflix, but it could still be worth checking out. After all, it is free for 3-months so why not give it a shot?
Speaking of Netflix, in addition to the 3-month subscription to Peacock, Samsung is offering something exclusive to Netflix users. Users need to download and install the Netflix app from the Galaxy Store between the 19th to 26th of December. If they do, they will get an exclusive clip from the upcoming second season of Squid Game.
It’s probably not as tempting as the 3-month sub to Peacock, but it could be of interest to those who have been anticipating Squid Game’s second season. It is also a good way for Samsung to try and push users towards the Galaxy Store. The majority of Android users download their apps from Google’s own Play Store.
This is completely fine, but obviously Samsung is hoping to get more eyes and use on its own platforms. This is one of the ways the company could achieve that.
