ASUS’ New Mini PC Packs AI and Intel Processing

0

For folks who don’t necessarily want to spend time and money working on a custom PC rig, compact or “mini” PCs are sometimes a convenient solution. That said, PC veteran ASUS recently announced the NUC 14 Pro AI, which it claims is the world’s first mini PC that features Intel Core Ultra processors alongside Microsoft’s Copilot+.

As you can imagine, one of the main highlights of the NUC 14 Pro AI is its diminutive size – it weighs less than a litre and is tall at just 34mm, and ASUS says that it features intelligent cooling as well.

The ASUS NUC 14 Pro AI is powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 9 processors (Series 2) that feature a multi-architecture design combining the CPU, GPU, and NPU. This includes a built-in Intel Arc 140/130V GPU which can deliver up to 67 TOPS, Xe Super Scaling (XeSS) upscaling technology and Intel Xe Matrix Extensions (XMX) AI engines, as well as on-chip LPDDR5x-8533 MT/s memory.

As it is a Copilot+ PC, it also comes with an integrated button shortcut for easy access to AI, and also supports voice commands for AI tasks. For connectivity, there’s support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and Thunderbolt 4 connections. ASUS hasn’t announced pricing and availability, although it should be noted that the NUC 14 Pro AI is marketed for enterprise, industrial and entertainment purposes.
