Come 2025, Apple is expected to introduce a new iPhone model to its lineup. This is rumored to come in the form of the iPhone 17 Air, a handset that will reportedly be thinner and lighter than the rest of the lineup.
For those wondering about how much it will cost, a new report from the Wall Street Journal has revealed that it is expected to be priced below the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models. This shouldn’t be too surprising, though. According to notable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, he stated that the iPhone 17 Air might replace the iPhone 17 Plus.
The analyst claims that he does not expect Apple to launch a new Plus model in 2025. That could be a first for the company, where they introduced their first Plus model a few years ago. It could also mark a new direction for the company. At some point in time, many companies, Apple included, tried to make their devices as thin and light as possible.
This eventually changed where the focus on creating ultra-thin devices kind of stopped in favor of making phones more functional. With regards to pricing, we’re not sure if Apple has plans to introduce a price hike across its iPhones. Price increases are pretty standard, but we’re not sure if this could come to the iPhone 17 series or if Apple might hold off for another year.
