Apple’s foldable iPad is going to be HUGE!

Samsung is more or less dominating the foldable smartphone landscape, but it seems that Apple wants to take over the foldable tablet scene. In the latest issue of Mark Gurman’s Power On newsletter, the journalist has revealed the potential size of the rumored foldable iPad.

According to Gurman, he claims that Apple is developing a new foldable iPad that is basically the size of two iPad Pros side-by-side. This will result in a device that is roughly 20-inches. This also seems to corroborate a report from a few months ago. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed that Apple is developing a foldable iPad that would be close to 20-inches.

The tablet was initially said to debut in 2026. However, due to technical limitations, Apple pushed the launch of the device to 2028. One of the things Apple has been working on is trying to eliminate the crease. Creases are more or less standard when it comes to foldable devices. As much as companies have tried to get rid of it completely, it is still very much visible.

Apple’s goal is to create a foldable device that basically eliminates the crease entirely. This would give it a much more seamless look. Don’t expect the foldable iPad to come cheap, though. It is rumored to cost quite a bit and might be pricier than the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i, which is priced a little under $2,000.
