Meet Oppo’s Newest Midrange Tablet

Oppo recently unveiled its new Oppo Pad 3, a new expansion to its tablet line. The Pad 3 is considerably more affordable than the premium Pad 3 Pro, and likewise runs on the newly-announced MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset. While it’s not exactly a flagship-grade tablet, there are some worthwhile features that make it an appealing choice nonetheless.

In terms of display, you’re getting a large 11.61-inch IPD screen, with a 2000 x 2,800 pixel aspect ratio, a 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 700 nits of brightness. It’s not the most groundbreaking display in terms of specifications (especially when it comes to tablets), but it’s leagues above what you’d get on other similarly-priced devices.

In addition to the Dimensity 8350 chip, there’s a 9,520 mAh battery with 67W charging support, and options for either 8GB or 12GB RAM variants, with different storage configurations ranging from 128GB to 512GB. As with most tablets on the market, you get two cameras – an 8MP shooter for selfies and video calls, and another 8MP lens on the rear of the tablet.

For software, there’s ColorOS 15, Oppo’s own take on Android. It’s available in Blue, Purple and Silver, and starts at around 275 EUR when converted, with a free Oppo Pencil 2 for pre-orders. As it’s only available in China at the moment, there’s word that the tablet might get released as the OnePlus Pad Go 2 for international markets.
