The year is almost out, but if you’re looking for a new smartphone that is powered by the latest Qualcomm chipset, then maybe you might want to check out the Nubia Z70 Ultra. This is the latest handset from the company which packs the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
In terms of hardware, the Nubia Z70 Ultra features a 6.85-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate along with 2,000 nits of peak brightness. This represents a larger and faster display over its predecessor. The display also plays home to the Nebula AIOS system with an under display camera technology.
Under the hood, like we previously said, the handset is packing the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This is the latest chipset from Qualcomm and we expect the bulk of flagship phones in 2025 to use the chipset. It also comes with a base of 12GB of RAM but can also go up to 24GB depending on the configuration.
On the camera side of things, the main shooter of the Nubia Z70 Ultra features a 50MP sensor with 35mm optics. It also uses a variable aperture lens that goes from as wide as f/1.59 to f/4.0. It is accompanied by a 70mm 64MP periscope lens, and a 13mm 50MP ultrawide to round things off. Nubia has also included a physical camera button to make taking photos a bit more ergonomic.
Another interesting feature of the handset is its battery. Nubia has included a 6,150mAh battery that uses silicon-carbon and it supports 80W charging. At the moment, the handset is currently only available in China, but there are plans to bring it to global markets soon.
