The much-awaited AirPods Pro 2 hearing health features are finally available for eligible users. Apple claims there is a clinically validated five-minute Hearing Test that users can take directly from the comfort of their house. It can be done with the help of the AirPods Pro 2 and a compatible iPhone/iPad.
This tutorial explains how you can use AirPods Pro 2 as hearing aids. However, before we proceed, make sure you have an iPhone or iPad running at least iOS 18.1. The AirPods Pro 2 should also be updated to the latest firmware version. With software updates out of the way, let’s move ahead with the tutorial.
Apple will upload your Health Test results to the Apple Health application. You can access all your test results through the Hearing section within the app. Alternatively, you can also upload a professional audiogram to the Apple Health app.
If your hearing test results exhibit mild to moderate hearing loss, you will get access to the Hearing Assistance section. It is available on the same page from where you took the hearing test. You can tweak various hearing assistance settings from here for a personalized listening experience.
