WhatsApp recently announced that it was rolling out a new feature that will let users create filtered chat lists of their own choosing. Dubbed the “Lists” feature, users will be able to set lists of custom categories, such as lists for family members, friends, work, and more.
To create and edit a list, users can simply tap the plus button at the top of their chats tab within the app; lists can also be edited by long-pressing on them. WhatsApp says that the Lists function works similarly to the favorites feature, allowing users to add groups and one-on-one chats to a list. WhatsApp says that its rolling out the Lists feature starting today, and will be available to more users in the coming weeks.
In other recent WhatsApp news, it’s expected that the app might introduce a new feature that will allow users to search links that they receive on Google before opening them, thereby reducing the likelihood of online scams.
