YouTube Music could finally get this Spotify feature

There are many music streaming services out there. For the most part, they all share a similar catalog of music, so song availability isn’t that much of a problem across the platforms. However, they do differ from each other in terms of features. If you’re a YouTube Music user, you might be interested in this upcoming one.

According to a post on Reddit, it seems that YouTube Music is rolling out a new feature that lets users upload custom thumbnails for their playlists. This doesn’t sound like a particularly big deal, but it is a feature that other streaming services like Spotify have had for years. We’re not sure what took YouTube this long, but we suppose better late than never, right?

To be fair, YouTube Music did introduce a new feature that allows users to generate playlist thumbnails using AI. While this is pretty cool in itself, we suppose there are some users out there who prefer using something a bit more custom and personalized. That being said, keep in mind that this feature seems to be limited to the web version of the streaming service.

We assume that it should also be available for the mobile version of the app, but we’ll have to wait and see. It also doesn’t seem like this new feature is widely available yet, so if you don’t see the option, don’t worry.
