One of the ways to preserve the battery life on our mobile devices is not to overcharge them. This means not letting it sit at 100% while plugged in for an extended period of time. If you own the Pixel Watch, a new feature has rolled out that will notify you on your phone when the wearable is fully charged.
According to users posting on Reddit, many are noticing the new feature. Basically when the Pixel Watch has hit 100% battery, it will notify users on their phone that the device is fully charged. This is useful if you’re trying to prolong the battery life or if you just want to know when you can wear the watch again.
What’s kind of weird is that this isn’t a new feature per se. According to 9to5Google, Google actually rolled out the feature back in November last year. But for some reason, it is only seeing wider availability now. We’re not sure why it took Google this long to push it out, but we suppose better late than never.
This change was discovered after a server-side update today. This means that users don’t really need to do anything on their end to see this new feature in action. If you own a Pixel Watch and want a way to monitor its battery and charging status, then this is the update for you.
