Latest Samsung update is bricking older devices

Updates are usually viewed as a good thing. They fix bugs, close security loopholes, introduce new features and improvements, and more. But sometimes, updates can cause unintended issues, like with the case of the latest Samsung update that is bricking older devices.

According to recent user reports, it seems that following the issue of a new Samsung update, older devices like the Galaxy S10 and Note 10 series are bricking. It isn’t just these two devices that are affected though, there are reports that other Samsung devices like the Galaxy M51 are affected as well.

From what we can tell, these phones seem to be stuck in a boot loop after they were updated to the latest update from Samsung. There doesn’t appear to be a fix for the issue and the only way to stop it would be to perform a full factory reset. That’s something that most users want to avoid since it would wipe their phone and its data, but hopefully you have a more recent backup so not everything will be lost.

Hopefully Samsung is aware of the issue and that they are working on a fix. If you haven’t updated to the latest update yet, maybe you want to hold off from doing so for now until a fix has been released.
