Sony recently announced that it’s expanding its LinkBuds lineup with three new products, consisting of the LinkBuds Fit, LinkBuds Open, and LinkBuds Speaker. With that being said, you might be thinking about checking them out, which is where we come in – let’s take a look!
First up is the LinkBuds Fit, which focuses on giving users a more comfy listening experience with what Sony calls “Air Fitting Supporters” and soft fit earbud tips. As with most modern wireless earbuds, the LinkBuds Fit also feature noise canceling and auto ambient modes, and are powered by Sony’s Integrated Processor V2. They also support multipoint connectivity, and can last for a maximum of 21 hours of playback time.
Up next is the new LinkBuds Open, which focus on giving users more awareness of their surroundings while delivering decent-sounding audio. The earbuds come with Adaptive Volume Control and a specially designed ring driver, which according to Sony results in well-balanced, high-quality audio with ambient sound support. They also come with IPX4 water resistance and up to 22 hours of battery life.
Last but not the least is the LinkBuds Speaker, which comes with some of the same features on the earlier LinkBuds like Auto Switch, Quick Access, and Auto Play, albeit in a different form factor. In terms of looks, it comes with a portable design with IPX4 water resistance, and comes with a detachable charging dock which can charge for up to 25 hours of playtime. For sound, it’s equipped with a tweeter and woofer, as well as passive radiators.
The LinkBuds Open, LinkBuds Fit, and LinkBuds Speaker are now available for pre-order with a suggested retail price of $199.99 for the LinkBuds Open and LinkBuds Fit, and $179.99 for the LinkBuds Speaker.
