The Pixel 9a leaks are coming in strong – shortly after several details about Google’s upcoming midrange handset were revealed, it’s now expected that the company might launch the Pixel 9a at a much earlier date in 2025, according to anonymous sources.
The folks over at Android Headlines state that Google will announce the Pixel 9a as early as March 2025, a couple of months earlier than the usual launch window for its A series. It can be remembered that the Pixel 8a and 7a were both announced during May, but given that Google’s flagship phones have moved to a new launch schedule, it’s a bit unsurprising to see this change.

Additionally, sources also claim that this will be Google’s plan moving forward, with the Pixel 10a also launching in March 2026. Just recently, design renders shared online indicate that Google has changed the Pixel 9a’s design significantly, with the handset no longer featuring the signature camera bar seen on its predecessors.
It’s also believed that Google will launch the Pixel 9a in four different colours including Porcelain, Obsidian, Peony, and a new Iris variant.
