Samsung is no stranger when it comes to making Chromebook computers. But if you’re looking for a new laptop that is both thin and light, you might want to check out the brand new Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Plus. This is apparently the lightest and thinnest Chromebook Plus laptop to date.
For those unfamiliar, there is a difference between a regular Chromebook computer and a Chromebook Plus computer. The latter has higher hardware requirements in order for it to receive the Chromebook Plus branding. This means that if you like Chrome OS but want a Chromebook with better hardware, then a Chromebook Plus computer is for you.
The Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Plus features a 15.6-inch OLED display. Under the hood, it is powered by an Intel Core 3 100U processor and comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It also comes with a Quick Insert key. This is an exclusive dedicated keyboard button for the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Plus, but other Chromebook users can still access it with a keyboard shortcut.
Basically when users use Quick Insert, they’ll be able to access a bunch of tools and functions. According to Google, some examples of Quick Insert include being able to quickly access some Gemini functions. Users can also use it to quickly insert emojis or GIFs into a text field, pull up a list of recently opened websites, perform simple calculations, and more.
The new Samsung Chromebook Plus laptop is expected to retail starting at $699 and will be launching later this month.
