Xiaomi’s official debut of its first-ever electric vehicle was accompanied with much hope and optimism about its market performance, with the company going so far as to set a target of 120,000 SU7 units sold by the end of this year. Based on new data, it looks like Xiaomi is much closer to achieving its goal.
The company recently stated that the SU7 has sold more than 10,000 units in September alone, which seemingly indicates that its efforts to increase production and marketing has been pretty much effective. It now aims to sell 20,000 units in October.
Xiaomi’s first-ever EV has certainly become one of the most talked-about electric cars this year, as it represents a first for the company which is more known for its consumer electronic products. The Xiaomi SU7 was launched back in March, and starts at around $29,800 for the standard model.
Earlier on, Xiaomi stated that it wanted to sell 100,000 SU7 units by the end of this year, although the company has since updated this number.
