Google Might Launch the Pixel 9a in a Couple of New Colours, Leaks Claim

Not too long after a number of design renders showing the Pixel 9a were shared online, newer details regarding Google’s still-unannounced midrange smartphone have emerged. More specifically, it looks like we might see some rather unique color options from Google once the 9a launches.

A report from the folks over at Android Headlines states that the Pixel 9a will come in four different colours – this includes the standard white and black models, although this time around we might see the arrival of a Peony variant, which is the same color as on the standard Pixel 9 model (it’s the pink one). There’s also rumor of an “Iris” variant which is expected to be a shade of purple-blue.

As for the device’s overall dimensions, it’s predicted that the phone will be taller and wider at 154 x 73mm, although slightly thinner than the Pixel 8a with just 8.5mm of thickness.

An earlier post shared by Android Headlines shows several shots of the Pixel 9a from different angles, corroborating the design that we saw in the hands-on photo earlier on. While it does retain the rounded corners and flat sides of the Pixel 9 series, the Pixel series’ most notable design trait to date – the camera bar – is nowhere to be seen on the 9a’s glossy rear panel.
