The Infinix Zero Flip is a budget-friendly foldable phone

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve gotten some steady leaks on Infinix’s first foldable smartphone. Infinix might not be a brand you are familiar with as they largely operate in China, but the company has decided to challenge the foldable market with their latest release, the Infinix Zero Flip.

Before you get too excited, note that the Zero Flip is not a flagship or high-end smartphone, but that’s okay. Based on its specs, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset and is accompanied by  8GB RAM and 512GB storage. The handset also packs a 6.9-inch FHD+ AMOLED foldable display with a 120Hz refresh rate. There is also an external 3.64-inch AMOLED display, also with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Infinix Zero Flip foldable comes with a dual camera setup, which is on par with most flip phones these days. It has a 50MP main with OIS and a 50MP ultrawide, and a 50MP selfie cam to round things off. The handset packs a 4,720mAh battery with support for 70W wired charging and 10W wired reverse charging, and your usual host of connectivity options.

As for pricing, it is expected to retail for roughly $600 in the global market. It is cheaper than other flip phones like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, although other handsets like Motorola’s Razr 50 series could potentially give it a run for its money in terms of value.
