If there’s anything that we’ve learned over the years when it comes to tech, it’s that every now and then some big product launch will be affected by certain hardware and software issues, especially for early batches of said product. While Apple has had trouble with this courtesy of last year’s overheating issues on the iPhone 15 Pro, it looks like its latest flagship has been causing some problems for users as well.
This time however, it’s not about phones getting too warm for comfort – it seems that a growing number of iPhone 16 Pro owners have reported issues with touch responsiveness on their devices, particularly when interacting with the edge of the screen near the newly-introduced camera control button. An online post from Reddit user Known_Tap_1462 has highlighted the issue, which prompted a number of similar complaints from other users commenting on the post.

It seems that tapping and holding on the screen near the camera button causes some apps and areas of the display to become unresponsive. At the moment, people are speculating that the issue might be software-related, in which case a future update might be able to resolve the matter. Apple hasn’t currently commented on the issue yet, so if you’re facing the same problem it might be worth waiting for an official fix from Apple.
