It’s safe to say that the gaming industry changed a lot with the arrival of the original PlayStation back in the mid-90s. While the brand and product has evolved over the decades, there’s still an undeniable charm about the original PlayStation that (especially if you were there in the moment) rings true for a lot of fans.
That being said, Sony recently announced that it was commemorating the PlayStation’s 30th anniversary with a series of specially-themed consoles and accessories that pay homage to its grandaddy console – this essentially means a color motif in the signature grey look of the OG PlayStation, complete with the tri-color PS logo as well.

30th Anniversary editions will be available for the PS5 Pro, the PS5 Digital Edition, PlayStation Portal, as well as the DualSense Edge controller (with additional bundles available). One big caveat however is that this is a limited edition release, and only 12,300 units of the PS5 Pro variant will be available, with a launch scheduled for November 21. Pre-orders start on September 26.
