While it’s been a few weeks now since the arrival of One UI 6.1.1 for select Samsung phones, the company has now expanded availability of its latest software update for more handsets, which include the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5, and comes in sized at around 2.6GB.
Perhaps one of the biggest changes with the update is the new Galaxy AI menu within the System Settings app. Phone manufacturers have continued to ride on the AI train with new products so it’s not too surprising to see this feature with the One UI 6.1.1 update. Some of the new AI features include art-based functionality such as the ability to turn sketches into full drawings, as well as support for AI-generated portraits with the Galaxy AI feature.
Some users have reported that the update comes with the August 1 security patch, so it might take some time before we start seeing the September security patch roll out for more users.
In other One UI news, it’s rumored that One UI 7 could be Samsung’s biggest update yet, with a post claiming that the update will be the “most changed version in the history of One UI”. Details are vague, but the post claims that icons are being redrawn, for one, meaning that the UI update could see some drastic design changes.
