OnePlus 13 could pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4
OnePlus has confirmed that they will be launching a new flagship device soon. It is expected that it is the OnePlus 13. Now according to tipster Digital Chat Station, they spotted the device on Geekbench where it was suggested that the OnePlus 13 could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
It is interesting as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 hasn’t been officially announced yet. Qualcomm did confirm its existence and have plans to officially introduce it soon, but it looks like OnePlus could be the first to the market with the OnePlus 13. It’s also interesting because previous rumors suggested that Xiaomi could actually be the first, but now OnePlus could beat them to the punch.
The exact specs of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 are still a bit of a mystery right now. The chipset will be announced at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit next month, so we should have the details then. To be fair we shouldn’t have been too surprised. OnePlus China President Louis Lee did hint that it would use the “latest generation” of flagship chipsets. We assumed that it would be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
