If you own a TicWatch Pro 5 or Pro 5 Enduro, then you might want to check your wearable for the latest Wear OS 4 update, which is scheduled to arrive in early September, and will gradually roll out to more regions in the coming weeks. Mobvoi says that the update brings improvements to overall functionality and user experience.
The Wear OS 4 update covers several other improvements including backup and restore capabilities, and improved system stability with an updated security patch.
In addition to Wear OS 4, Mobvoi has also implemented several other enhancements, which include improvements to TicMotion’s cycling detection, pre-identification display for workout data, and increased data detection frequency. For TicExercise, there are 25 new professional workouts, improved data for outdoor activities, a customizable workout list, independent auto-pause control, and enhanced user interface and calorie calculation.
Mobvoi has also combined its TicHealth, TicPulse, TicOxygen, TicZen, and TicSleep apps into a single, unified TicHealth app. Additionally, the update enables real-time data display from popular fitness apps like Strava, adidas Running, and Nike Run Club directly on the Ultra Low Power Display.
Other updates include improved multi-language translation accuracy, customizable watch faces, the ability to assign a specific app to the side button, and general bug fixes and stability improvements.
