Contact Syncing Arrives for WhatsApp on Android

0

If you’re on WhatsApp’s beta version, then you might want to check the latest version of the app, which comes with a handy new feature. More specifically, beta version 2.24.18.14 comes with contact syncing, and allows users to save multiple WhatsApp accounts on a single device.

With the feature, users can now add separate contacts for each of account, and manually select which contacts to sync to the device. Additionally, the update also lets users manage WhatsApp contacts via linked devices. It should be noted that even if a user disables contact syncing, they will still be able to sync each contact with a future beta release.

Additionally, syncing a contact will make it available across all linked devices. WhatsApp is also adding a backup function which can restore contacts when the app is reinstalled. There’s not definite release timeline for the new feature at the moment, so users will have to be a bit more patient.

Not too long ago, it was reported that WhatsApp is working on a PIN-based solution to help fight spam for users.
