We’re creeping towards the end of the year which in the smartphone world means we have at least one more major announcement left – Apple’s iPhone. If you’re looking forward to the iPhone 16 or just want to see what Apple is up to, the company has scheduled the announcement for the 9th of September.
This is according to a video posted onto its YouTube page. This date is actually kind of in line with what we had heard previously. There were earlier rumors that suggested that the event could be held on the 10th of September. This is technically true since the 9th of September in the US will be the 10th in other parts of the world due to the time difference.
The tagline of this year’s iPhone 16 announcement also reads, “It’s Glowtime”. It is unclear what this could be referring to. Apple usually puts hints in its taglines to indicate new features or changes we can expect in their products. The glowing logo does remind us a bit of Siri’s animation, but we’ll have to wait and see.
The event is scheduled for the 9th of September at 10AM PT or 1PM ET. It will mostly focus on the new iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max. There’s a good chance Apple will also announce new Apple Watches in the form of the Apple Watch Series 10 (or Series X as some are calling it), the Apple Watch Ultra 3, and maybe new and updated AirPods.
