The Pixel 9 works great with wet hands
Have you ever tried using your phone with wet hands and fingers before? If you have, then you know that because your hands are wet, sometimes things on your screen don’t act the way they do. But it seems that Google has thought about that for the Pixel 9 and have made it usable with wet hands.
According to a report from Mishaal Rahman over at Android Authority, it appears that Google has given the Pixel 9 a display upgrade. This comes in the form of a feature called “Adaptive Touch”, which basically allows the phone to automatically adjust its sensitivity. This means that even if your hands or fingers are wet, you can still interact with the Pixel 9 just fine. It also helps to take into account the application of a screen protector.
Google didn’t mention this new feature during the Pixel 9’s announcement. To be fair, the company had a lot of things to announce and probably wanted to focus on the bigger items. There are probably a bunch of other changes and new features that have yet to be discovered, but Adaptive Touch is one of them.
